Jackie Ball has recently been promoted to Project Engineer. Jackie's principal duties include highway layout and design, engineering calculations, reserve evaluations and presentation drafting. Jackie is also certified by the Virginia Department of Transportation in Nuclear Safety and as such is often asked to perform Nuclear Density Testing. Jackie began his career at Terra Tech as a CAD Technician but quickly proved himself to be much more than a draftsman.

A native of the Council, Virginia area Jackie is a 1993 graduate of Council High School after which he completed Associates Degrees in Engineering, Science and General Studies in 1994 at the Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands, Virginia. Obviously seeing the value in education Jackie continued at Southwest Virginia Community College to complete Associates Degrees in Drafting & Design as well as Education in 2000. Ever the student, Jackie has continued with his education since accepting full time employment with Terra Tech in 2000 and has completed his graduation requirements from Old Dominion University. Jackie is participating in ODU's TELETECHNET program via satellite and attends his classes at Southwest Virginia Community College. Jackie will graduate in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Engineering Management.

Asked the question what do you like most about working at Terra Tech Jackie cites the "nice friendly atmosphere with dedicated hard working people that work together to get the job done."

Even though it sounds like Jackie could possibly have no time for hobbies he will tell you that he is an avid hunter and fisherman, who also enjoys mountain biking, skiing and basketball. Jackie resides at Council, Virginia with his new bride Cindy and they are expecting their first child later in 2005.
