Patrick Owens is one of the three owners of Terra Tech Engineering and as such has been with the company since 1997. Patrick serves as Vice-President/Treasurer of Terra Tech Engineering and in this capacity spends much of his time managing the daily business affairs of Terra Tech. In addition to this Patrick is a professional engineer and assists in a variety of design projects. Patrick is experienced in mine planning and design, reserve evaluations, constrction management and surveying. In Patricks role as an engineer for Terra Tech he has worked with a variety of projects including construction management, construction survey staking, installation of wastewater treatment facilities, design and oversee consruction of wastewater lift station, retaining wall designs, Abandoned Mine Land reclamation projects, and a host of others.

Patrick came to Terra Tech Engineering with 7 years experience as an operations engineer for United Coal Company where he was responsible for all surveying and drafting operations, as well as mine licensing, ventilation planning, mine planning and layout, and coordination of planning with the several contract operators producing coal for United. Prior to this Patrick worked as Field Inspector for Pyxis Resources where among other duties he was responsible for the field coordination of core drilling operations for exploration of reserves.

Patrick is a 1985 graduate of Grundy Senior High School in Grundy, Virginia after which he went on to Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands, Virginia and completed an Associates Degree in Engineering in 1987. In the fall of 1987 Patrick entered his Junior year at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Vrginia. Patrick completed his studies at Virginia Tech in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering.

Patrick is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Socety of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, and is registered as a Professional Engineer in Virginia, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Patrick has completed certifications from the Virginia Department of Transportation in concrete field, soils, and nuclear safety.

When asked what he likes about Terra Tech, Patrick will tell you "the different types of projects that I work on each day. There is no room for boredom at this place. I also enjoy the people that we have working here, it is truly a family to work with." Patrick continues with "I am very proud of the kind of company that our employees have made Terra Tech, without their efforts and hard work none of it would have been possible."

Patrick will list his hobbies as playing golf, working with computers, and flying airplanes. Patrick has his private pilots license and is in the process of pursuing his instrument rating at this time.

Patrick and his wife Glenna reside on Airport Road in Vansant, Virginia with their daughter Catherine who is 4 years old and the new addition to the household is their new son Justin Patrick born in December of 2004.
