Paul Welch is a one year Terra Tech employee who holds the position of CAD Technician. Paul's duties as CAD Technician include drafting, mine permitting work and flood zone determinations. Paul is also sometime asked to assist with the survey crew as a rodman and has also helped complete transect surveys to measure the vegetative quality of a mine reclamation project. Paul's main direction if to assist in mine reclamation permit duties and Paul is responsible for many renewal applications on his own.

Paul comes to Terra Tech after many years in a manufacturing job and finally deciding to take an opportunity to pursue a career in his field of education. Upon graduation Paul could not find a job that suited him in the engineering/construction field that would allow him to reside in his native Buchanan County so he took a job in a roof bolt factory where he stayed until a chance meeting started the ball rolling toward his current position with Terra Tech.

Paul is a 1996 graduate of Garden High School in Garden, Virginia after which he attended Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands, Virginia. In 1988 he graduated from Southwest with an Associates in Arts & Sciences degree in Drafting/Design. After completion of his associates degree Paul attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Construction Technology.

Paul's hobbies include traveling, fishing and golf. When asked what he liked most about working at Terra Tech Paul answered "the people and atmosphere, and the work that I do."

Paul and wife Liz reside at Garden, Virginia with their new baby Connor who is currently 3 months old.
