Land Surveying

Terra Tech is equipped to perform property boundary surveys, construction stake outs, topographic site maps, and flood elevation certifications. From the latest in GPS surveying technology to conventional tools, surveys are very precise yet processing time can be quick and efficient in order to reduce costs.

To represent the actual field conditions as a presentation, which can be used to achieve the desired results, is the key to completing any successful survey. Using AutoCAD, SurvCADD, and other presentational graphic programs, Terra Tech can display the collected data in many different arrays of both two dimensional and three dimensional formats. All plats, drawings, and calculations are presented in a manner to best depict both actual conditions and any proposed modifications.

All surveying functions performed at Terra Tech are under the direct supervision of a registered land surveyor. Our staff holds professional licensing as a land surveyor in Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The individual licensing in each state insures that the surveying and boundary laws of each state are understood and implemented. A large portion of our property boundary work involves the research of older deeds and past ownership changes. All of our staff, which conducts the research in the Appalachian Region, are from the area and their knowledge of property history proves to be invaluable during title chain researching. Many of our projects involve researching property deeds to their original land grants in the nineteenth century.

In performing surveying duties for government contracts, roadway construction, FEMA flood elevation certificates, and private property boundary surveys, each survey is traversed to insure the appropriate closures are obtained. In conjunction with our design and drafting services, detections of unforeseen unique field conditions can be evaluated in-house and necessary actions can be taken to correct field measurements and stake out configurations.
