Permitting
With ever changing state and federal regulation requirements facing today’s mining, manufacturing, construction and development industries, a consultant knowledgeable in the direction and magnitude of these changes as they affect each group is a valuable asset in assuring proposed operations continue on schedule. Our staff has completed successful permits through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in both the Huntington and Norfolk districts; the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection; the Virginia Department of Mined Land Reclamation; the Office of Surface Mining; the Department of Environmental Quality-Air Quality; and the Kentucky Division of Natural Resources.
When designing permit plans, Terra Tech staff will visit the site to validate existing mapping and note any pre-disturbance conditions which may affect the permit. We take pride in our ability to assist clients in the planning phases of their projects, presenting alternatives and scenarios for review prior to final design completion and permitting activities. Design outputs are presented to regulatory authorities in a format allowing for a clear understanding of proposed activities which both ensures timely review and helps to minimize technical comments. Terra Tech follows all permitting activities through the planning, design, installation and reclamation phases. This continued involvement ensures proposed operations are kept in compliance with the approved permit and reflects any changes in regulatory requirements as they arise. |
